Overview of Conversion Payout Tracking in ClickFlare

ClickFlare provides two methods for tracking conversion payouts: automatic and manual. Depending on whether your affiliate network supports dynamic payout tokens, you can choose the most suitable option to accurately track your earnings.

Auto Method: Tracking Payouts Automatically

The automatic method allows ClickFlare to capture the conversion payout value dynamically from an affiliate network’s postback URL or conversion tracking pixel. This ensures that payout data is recorded accurately for every conversion.

How It Works:

  • The affiliate network includes a payout token in the postback URL or pixel.
  • ClickFlare reads the value from the payout token and assigns it to the conversion event.
  • The payout amount is stored in ClickFlare and reflected in your reports.

Setting Up Automatic Payout Tracking:

  1. When creating or editing an offer, select the Auto payout tracking option.

  2. Ensure that the postback URL includes the affiliate network’s payout token.

  3. Example postback URL formats for different affiliate networks:

    • Everflow-based networks:

      http://your_ClickFlare_domain.com/postback?click_id={aff_sub}&payout={payout_amount}
    • Postback URL with a fixed static payout value

      http://your_ClickFlare_domain.com/cf/cv?click_id={subid}&payout=2

Manual Method: Tracking Payouts Manually

If your affiliate network does not support dynamic payout tokens, ClickFlare allows you to set a fixed payout value for each conversion manually.

How It Works:

  • You provide a fixed payout amount in the offer settings.
  • ClickFlare assigns this payout value to every recorded conversion for that offer.

Setting Up Manual Payout Tracking:

  1. When creating or editing an offer, select the Manual payout tracking option.
  2. Enter a fixed payout amount (in USD or your selected currency).
  3. Save the settings, and ClickFlare will use this value for every conversion associated with the offer.
Important Note: Manually set values override any payout values received via postback URL or conversion tracking pixel.
