Thanks to ClickFlare’s API integration with Reddit Ads, you can automatically pull the cost data of your Reddit campaigns directly into ClickFlare.
This allows you to centralize tracking, reporting, and performance analysis across all your ad platforms — with no need for manual cost uploads.
What you'll need for the integration
-
An active ClickFlare account
-
An active Reddit Ads account
- Your Reddit Login Credentials
How Reddit Cost Integration Works
ClickFlare connects directly to Reddit’s API to automatically retrieve cost data for your active campaigns.
Once connected, ClickFlare pulls the spend values from Reddit Ads at the following levels:
-
Campaign level
-
Ad Set (Ad Group) level
-
Ad level
Only cost data is retrieved directly from Reddit’s API.
Other performance metrics — such as CPC, CPM, and CTR — are calculated within ClickFlare using the cost data provided by Reddit and the click or impression data tracked by ClickFlare through your campaign URLs.
This ensures all cost and performance metrics remain consistent and up to date in one dashboard.
Setting Up the Reddit Cost Integration
Follow the steps below to connect your Reddit Ads account to ClickFlare:
-
In ClickFlare, open the left-side menu and go to Integrations → Cost Tracking Integrations.
-
Click Add Integration.
-
From the list of available integrations, select Reddit.

Step 1 — Authorize Your Reddit Account
When adding the Reddit integration, you’ll be prompted to connect your Reddit Ads account.
-
If you already have a Reddit account connected to ClickFlare, you’ll see it listed under Use an existing account.
Simply select it and proceed. -
If not, click Sign in with Reddit.
You’ll be redirected to Reddit’s login page, where you’ll need to authorize ClickFlare to access your advertising data.
Click Allow to continue.

After authorization, you’ll be redirected back to ClickFlare, and your Reddit Ads account will appear in the integration setup.
Step 2 — Select Ad Accounts
Once your Reddit account is connected, click on Next, and choose which ad account(s) you’d like ClickFlare to pull cost data from.
-
You can select one or multiple ad accounts under the same Reddit login.
-
ClickFlare will automatically fetch campaign spend data from each selected ad account.

You only need one integration per Reddit Business Manager.
Within that integration, you can include multiple ad accounts if your Reddit user has access to them.
Step 3 — (Optional) Assign to a Traffic Source Configuration
You can optionally link your Reddit cost integration directly to one or more Traffic Source Configurations.
If you skip this step, you can assign the integration later in your Traffic Source settings.
Make sure the traffic source configuration you select here belongs to Reddit.
Assigning the wrong traffic source may result in cost data not being associated correctly.
Once done, click Save.
Step 4 — Verify Cost Data Sync
After saving, ClickFlare will start syncing cost data automatically.
To confirm the integration:
-
Open any active Reddit campaign in ClickFlare.
-
Check the Cost column in your reports.
-
You should see real-time cost data pulled directly from your Reddit Ads account.
⏱️ Sync Frequency:
ClickFlare pulls Reddit cost data every 30 minutes by default, ensuring your dashboard always reflects up-to-date spend information.
How Cost Matching Works
ClickFlare matches Reddit’s cost data to your campaigns based on unique campaign IDs and tracking parameters already appended to your campaign URLs.
When using the Reddit traffic source template in ClickFlare, all necessary macros are automatically added to your tracking links — so there’s no need to configure anything manually.
This ensures your cost and performance data align perfectly across both platforms.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No cost data visible | Integration not connected properly | Reauthorize your Reddit account in ClickFlare and ensure the correct ad accounts are selected. |
| Partial or missing campaign costs | Incorrect traffic source mapping | Verify the correct Reddit traffic source configuration is linked to this cost integration. |
| Delayed updates | API sync delay | Wait up to 60 minutes for the next hourly cost update. |
| Incorrect currency displayed | Ad account set to a different currency | Check your Reddit Ads account currency — ClickFlare displays costs using that same currency. |
| Cost discrepancy between Reddit and ClickFlare | Timezone mismatch between Reddit Ads and ClickFlare | Make sure both your Reddit Ads account and your ClickFlare are set to the same timezone. |
