By integrating the Snapchat Conversion API with ClickFlare, you can send conversion events directly from ClickFlare to Snapchat through Snapchat’s server-side Conversion API.
This works similarly to traditional server-to-server postbacks, but with a simpler and more reliable setup.
Why use Snapchat Conversion API?
Due to Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) changes introduced with iOS 14 and 14.5, browser-based tracking pixels became less reliable. As a result, many advertisers experienced underreported conversions and reduced campaign optimization performance.
Snapchat’s Conversion API helps overcome these limitations by allowing conversion events to be sent directly from the server, improving attribution accuracy and optimization.

Integrating the Snapchat Conversion API in ClickFlare
Follow the steps below to add the Snapchat Conversion API:
- In ClickFlare, open the left sidebar.
- Navigate to Integrations.
- Under Conversion API Integrations, click Add Integration.
- Select Snapchat from the list of available integrations.

- In the integration screen, click on Add a new Pixel.

- Give your pixel a name and paste the Pixel ID and Conversion API Token you copied earlier.

- Define the Action Source. As per Snapchat's requirements, you need to define the action source of the events that will be posted to Snapchat. For example, select Website if the collected data is coming from a website or landing page, or select App if the data has been collected on an App, etc.

- Specify which ClickFlare tracked events are going to be posted on Snapchat.
Using the Event Type Mapping, you can map ClickFlare tracked events to specific Standard Snapchat events or custom ones of your choice. Click here to learn more about how to create custom events.
- Now that you have mapped the main events that will be reported to Snapchat, define what information you want to send to Snapchat CAPI along with the main events.
As you may see in the screenshot below, the configuration includes a few grayed-out fields. This means that the information is sent to Snapchat CAPI by default. However, if you want to add more information to each event you report to Snapchat CAPI, you can do so by adding it to the Event Data Configuration. See the example below.
Note: Some parameters are required from the Traffic Source and can not be changed or deleted.Learn how to add additional parameters here. - Once you have completed all the configurations, click on Save. You’ll see the new integration appear under the Conversion API section.
